"Between the stimulus and response, there is a space and in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. " ...Victor Frankl
The power of mindfulness lies in the ability to chose a wise response in this space.

Anybody can meditate! Yes, anybody!
A regular practice of mindfulness leads to transformation when we learn to not be a victim of our experiences, but rather the observer of our experiences. Studies show that a regular meditation routine can:
- Help lessen depression
- Support healthy aging
- Lower blood pressure
- Improve metabolism
- Improve brain health
- Help you cope with stress
- Decrease inflammation
Mindfulness Meditation Workshop
Join me for a beginners workshop where we explore what mindfulness is and what it is not. Some people try to meditate and say they can't, when in reality they just did not experience the desired result. Mindfulness meditation is not about reaching a certain state of mind, it is being present to what is in the moment in a non-judgmental manner. It is about having an openness to, and an acceptance of the present moment. This is a skill that takes time, consistence and patience to master.
We will meet weekly for 90 minutes for 9 weeks. check out the schedule here
In this workshop you will learn:
· Ways to prepare yourself by settling the mind prior to meditation.
· Different kinds of mindfulness practices and how to incorporate it in your everyday life
· Mindful communication, and how to improve your relationships using this skill.
· The science behind stress, and ways to manage stress using mindfulness.
· Strategies for managing strong emotions.
· Inquiry exercises to support self-awareness and much more!

Mindfulness for Teens
Today’s youth are growing up in a world that is ever-changing, and an alarming number of teens are reporting increasing stress, uncertainty, depression and anxiety. For instance, 61% of college students in 2016 reported to have sought counseling for anxiety. Even young children report feeling stressed at school, with concerns ranging from bullying, inability to cope with academic rigor, fear of failure, to peer pressure. Teaching mindfulness to students is one way of equipping youth with empowering tools to better manage their experience. When the youth learn mindfulness skills, gain new insight into how they can more effectively navigate their inner world as well as the challenges of the outer world. Just like any other skill, it is learned faster when introduced at a younger age.
Mindful Teens is a beginner Mindfulness Meditation program, with an emphasis on learning how to manage emotions by cultivating a skillful relationship with emotions and feelings. In this virtual workshop we will explore different mindfulness practices, learn how to incorporate mindfulness skills in our day to day lives, learn the science behind stress, and learn strategies to access the inner still place when things get tough. Each session will include a lecture, discussion, and different mindfulness practices. Dress comfortably and bring a journal.
Tuesdays 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm from July 5th- August 9th, 2022 on zoom.
We will also meet twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays for optional short meditation sessions on zoom 12:30 pm-12:45pm
