Integrating mind, body, and spirit to create a blissful you

Bliss Yoga & Mindfulness is currently offering virtual interactive sessions, as well as in-person sessions at Integra Wellness Center located at 1040 Edgewater Pkwy, Indian Land, SC 29707,
just 3 miles away from Ballantyne in South Charlotte. One on one sessions are also offered for yoga and mindfulness. Kids Yoga and Mindfulness after school Clubs are offered in several schools in Charlotte.

Traditional Hatha yoga is taught keeping in mind the ability and physical limitations of every person. The word "yoga" means union, a union of mind, body and spirit. The word "Hatha" is a blend of two words: "ha" meaning sun or the masculine aspects-active, hot- and "tha" meaning moon or the feminine aspect-cool, receptive-within each of us. Hatha yoga is the path to create balance and equanimity.
Far from being a physical practice, when practiced regularly, yoga is a personal journey for inner transformation. Small-sized classes allow you work at your own pace, using modifications as needed, and develop your practice in your own time.
Pranayama, or breathwork is practiced in each class. Practicing breathwork has a very calming effect on the nervous system and brings about deep relaxation to the mind. Practicing Yoga and  Pranayama has tremendous physical and mental benefits, as it stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system.
Mindfulness Meditation
is about embracing the present moment with kind awareness, and without any judgements. It is taught in a 9 week long program where we learn how to practice mindfulness formally and informally .We learn how to witness our thoughts, without getting caught up in the story. We reflect on our thoughts and habitual patterns, learn how to address difficult emotions when they arise, how to manage stress and anxiety and much more. When we learn to embrace what is present, whether pleasant or unpleasant, we open up to the fullness of our lives.

Namaste. I and the founder of Bliss Yoga and Mindfulness, and have been teaching yoga and mindfulness  to adults and children in Charlotte and surrounding areas for over a decade. I fell love with yoga after my own experience at a yoga studio, where I learned traditional yoga. My guru taught me traditional yoga, just like it was taught in ancient times, and I am immensely grateful for his teachings. What started as mere curiosity ended as a most beautiful experience as I realized that yoga had taught me to respond wisely to life and difficult solutions, rather than react. I trained to be a yoga instructor, certified with Yoga Alliance, and continued my yoga journey by learning traditional Hatha yoga at Kaivalyadham, the oldest yoga institute in the world, under Dr Vartika Dubey, daughter of Shri O.P Tiwari (www.kdham.com). This institute is recognized by the International Council of Yoga Association. My deep desire to bring this knowledge to the youth led me to be certified as a Children's Yoga instructor.  I am also a certified Mindfulness coach and offer Mindfulness workshops for adults and teens. Yoga and Mindfulness have helped me tremendously in my personal life, and I feel blessed to share these skills with my students! My focus is not only to address physical well being, but also to address mental health with yoga, mindfulness and pranayama(yogic breathing exercises).  To date, I along with my team of teachers have brought yoga and mindfulness to thousands.

I encourage my students to be mindful while doing yoga, listen to their body, and modify poses as needed. I offer small-sized classes, so that I can guide each individual towards a safe practice. I
incorporate meditation and pranayama in my classes, so that everyone can experience the mental benefits, inner peace and tranquility. I consider herself both a teacher and a student of yoga as she continues to dive deeper into yoga philosophy with Patanjalis yoga sutras.
